Every Food Pantry is different and serves a different mix of people.  Items that we often seen donated at our pantry, but are not well received by the families that visit our pantry include: canned pumpkin, stuffing, canned cranberries, canned green beans.

Additionally, if it has been in your pantry so long that you will not eat it, it should not come to ours. And, please, no glass items.

We often do not get as many donations from April through September and would love to have you host a food drive or make a donation during that time of year!

Yes!  With the money that you donate, we are able to purchase food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank or at other area retailers that may provide an item we can’t get elsewhere.

Right now money is more helpful to us. We are limited in the space we have to store items so being able to purchase exactly what we need when we need it is really helpful. If you do want to donate food, please see our top 10 item list for ideas to donate or host a food drive targeting some of those items.

Tuesdays 8:30am to 10am
Tuesdays 6pm to 8pm

There is also a red donation bin outside the door of the pantry where you can drop your items.

Or contact our pantry manager to set up a time that works best for you.
